Live Wildly announced a partnership with the Discovery Channel’s “Let’s Take It Outside” program aimed at highlighting Florida’s stunning wild lands and waters. This initiative emphasizes the essential role these natural areas play in supporting local economies, communities, and overall well-being.
Hosted by outdoor enthusiast and avid angler Misty Wells, “Let’s Take It Outside” inspires viewers to reconnect with nature. As a newly appointed Adventurist for Live Wildly, Wells will share her unique perspective on the beauty and significance of Florida’s wild landscapes, bringing attention to the state’s remarkable natural beauty.
Live Wildly Adventurists, a diverse group of filmmakers, writers, photographers, scientists, athletes, and explorers, venture into Florida’s wild places to capture and share their stories. “We’re thrilled to work with Misty to raise awareness of Florida’s world-class outdoor recreational areas,” said Lisa Shipley, CEO of Live Wildly. “These wild places inspire us and are crucial to Florida’s economy, supporting over 100,000 jobs and generating billions of dollars through tourism, agriculture, and more.”
The collaboration is set to produce a captivating segment for the upcoming season of “Let’s Take It Outside,” with filming taking place in various outdoor locations across Florida, including state parks and the expansive Florida Wildlife Corridor, a breathtaking 18-million-acre interconnected region from the Panhandle to the Everglades. This segment is scheduled to be filmed this summer, with an expected airing in the fall.
In addition to being a sponsor of the sixth season of “Let’s Take It Outside,” Live Wildly’s branding will be visible throughout the episodes, inviting viewers to join the movement to preserve Florida’s natural beauty for future generations.
Live Wildly and Misty Wells are also planning a series of events over the next year, encouraging more people to explore and appreciate the great outdoors. “People protect what they love,” said Shipley. “Misty’s efforts will inspire everyone to find ways to engage with nature and foster a deeper love for it.”
Stay tuned for more updates as Live Wildly continues its mission to promote Florida’s wild heritage and advocate for its preservation.
