Our body is our temple, and the skin is its varnish. With time and age, it begins to break, peel and crack. And that is ok, as it is as nature intended. Although science is pushing the boundaries of what we consider natural, it’s safe to say that our skin begins to show signs of change with time. While this is acceptable, there’s something that’s not – products with harmful and toxic chemicals. These toxic materials can and often prove damaging for the skin in the long run. The time has come to make room for something more organic, which is why Kaitlin Polk, Founder of Naru Organics, has created an organic tanner that puts chemical tanners to shame. Here’s her story.
It was not before Kaitlin started to develop red rashes all over her neck and arms after using conventional self-tanners, she decided to take a look at the ingredients and what the products really contained. She was shocked to see that all the self-tanners she was using were made of artificial dyes and color additives, and most of them also included parabens and skin-drying agents. Kaitlin said, “I remember going from store to store to look for natural tanners, but I was shocked to find none without a horrible smell or that did not make me look orange and streaky. So, therefore, I decided to make myself a non-toxic, organic self-tanner if the stores were not going to give me one.”
The advent created an avalanche of new beginnings for Kaitlin. She had no experience in the field whatsoever, and the only thing she could rely on was her zeal to leave no stone unturned to create a completely organic, healthy, and clean self-tanner. Talking about her brand Naru Organics, she says, “The self-tanner is made up of organic ingredients like Camellia Japonica (Tsubaki) Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Pulp Extract, Calendula Officinalis (Calendula) Extract, Aloe Vera, Vegetable Glycerin, Sweet Almond Oil, Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, to name a few. And I am proud to say it’s toxin-free and a woman’s best friend.”
Naru Organics is poised to take self-tanners to the next level and help women care better for their skins. For more information about the company or to order this organic, nontoxic self-tanner, please visit naruorganics.com.
