United has recently opened its largest United Club at Denver International Airport in the B Concourse. Covering 35,000 sq.-ft., this club provides a modernized United Club experience, featuring a new bar with beer flight boards for customers to taste a seasonal rotation of premium local and craft beers. This is the second of a series of new clubs opening in Denver this summer; last month, a luxurious ski lodge-themed United Club opened in the A Concourse, inspired by the Colorado outdoors and featuring thoughtful design touches.
Another revamped club location is set to open in 2025, bringing Denver International Airport’s total United Club space to over 100,000 sq.-ft. across three United Club locations and United Club Fly, a unique grab-and-go concept offering enhanced food and beverage options for United Club members with limited time. With over two-thirds of United customers connecting to other flights in Denver, the new clubs are expected to serve more than double the number of travelers than before.
These new clubs follow the introduction of the first-of-its-kind United Club FlySM concept in Denver last year, which has already been visited by over 100,000 travelers who appreciate the convenience of grabbing food or drinks on the go.
“The new United Club locations are designed and operated to reflect feedback from our customers and match the way their travel has evolved in recent years,” said Alexander Dorow, United’s Head of Clubs & Lounges. “We’re growing our hub in the Mile High City, and the expansion and renovation of United Club locations represents our commitment to Colorado and our customers’ experience.”
B Concourse United Club
This new club location can be found in the B Concourse near gate B44 on the eastern side. It is the largest club in United’s network, with more than 600 seats and 35,000 sq.-ft. spread over three levels. The club’s design reflects Denver’s beer scene, with brewery-inspired elements and a seasonal rotation of 10 local and craft beers on tap at the feature bar on the mezzanine level. The bar also offers United customized tasting boards and beer glasses. The feature bar area boasts five Vestaboards that display personalized messages and menu offerings, while a custom, vibrant blue mural by Charlo Garcia Walterbach adds to the atmosphere.
The space draws inspiration from Denver’s urban areas and has concrete flooring, hand-crafted decor, and exposed ceilings that give it a sleek and modern design. Guests can enjoy locally-sourced furnishings and artwork throughout the space, including photography, paintings, sculptures and murals that reflect the Denver community. The entryway features a sculpture made by Will Schlough, inspired by the cones of the Colorado Blue Spruce. The piece is crafted from dozens of skateboards that resemble colorful pinecones. Additionally, local artists Jaime Molina and Pedro Barrios have created a statement mural that tells the story of Denver through highly-visual, street art inspired geometric shapes.
A Concourse United Club
If you’re visiting the western side of the A Concourse near gate A26, you can get a glimpse of the Colorado Rocky Mountains with the new club location. The furniture and decor are locally sourced to reflect Colorado’s outdoor landscapes and experiences, giving you a sense of place. The club is designed to feel like a ski lodge, complete with two fireplace lounges, stacked wood, flannel patterned cushions, and vintage ski decor. You can enjoy food and drinks, play some shuffleboard or relax near the fireplaces in the 24,000 sq.-ft club that offers 400 seats across two levels of club space.
Local artists have contributed to the club’s custom artwork, including a sculptural installation by Amy Hoagland that uses glass rods to form a topographic-inspired piece creating an optical illusion from different vantage points. A custom ‘Come Fly With Us’ mural by designer Adam Vicarel showcases a combination of colors and shapes that exemplify travel and the Colorado landscape. The club also features other artwork such as glass sculptures, mixed media collages, photographs, and paintings inspired by Colorado nature.
The club’s amenities include free high-speed Wi-Fi, self-scan entry gates, agent on demand kiosks for travel planning questions, and wellness rooms. You can also enjoy premium culinary offerings with local flair, such as oatmeal paired with Colorado honey, egg frittata inspired by the Denver omelet, Colorado Club sandwiches, and pork green chili.
This expansion is part of United’s nearly $1 billion investment to improve the customer experience in Denver. United has announced new non-stops to six destinations, including four not served by any other Denver airline. Additionally, 12 new gates will open in the A and B concourses by mid-2024, giving United 90 total gates, the most at Denver International Airport.
