Actor and screenwriter Rex Dane has been making a big impact on the industry in recent months, celebrating an incredible 19 awards for writing the screenplay and staring in the trailer of Shiva. This semi-autobiographical feature has gripped judges, and the award-winning star is now looking to bring the full film to the big screen.
Having had a passion for acting since he was a young child, Shiva marks the first occasion Rex Dane has been able to bring his skills to the screen. He penned the 108-page screenplay using his own experiences and struggles as inspiration for the modern love story that promises a thrilling ride that takes viewers through a wide range of emotions.
Despite initial setbacks when pitching the screenplay to production houses, Rex decided to showcase his acting skills and story writing with an official trailer for the film. This belief in his talents paid off, with the production winning 19 awards, including several Best Actor categories alongside Best Trailer, Best Super Short, and Best Microfilm at the likes of the Rome International Movie Awards, Gothamite Monthly Film Awards and Vegas Movie Awards.
