On Monday, October 16, 2023, Merrell® and Jeep® will launch the “Merrell Moab 3 Mid x Jeep” hiking boot. This limited-run boot will be available for purchase in eight countries and comes in men’s and women’s sizes. To receive launch notifications, visit merrell.com/jeep. The boot is available in three colors named after popular Jeep brand coats: Sarge Green, Sting Grey, and Hydro Blue.
The Jeep brand team will showcase the boot at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, Michigan, from September 13th to September 24th, 2023. As two iconic Michigan brands, this collaboration is a fitting addition to one of the world’s most influential automotive events.

Merrell incorporated key design details as an ode to hidden Easter eggs commonly found in Jeep 4x4s. Special features include:
- Custom molded Rubicon badging represents the most capable Wrangler for the world’s bestselling hiking boot
- Red “tow” lace hooks represent the red tow hooks on the front of the Wrangler Rubicon
- Metal lace hardware represents the hatches on the Jeep 4×4 hood
- Monochromatic color scheme mimics iconic Jeep 4×4 exterior colors
- Upper mesh was picked to resemble the hexagon pattern on the Wrangler’s grille
- Larger heel webbing hook represents seat belt
- Jeep brand’s iconic seven slot grille embossed in backstay
Introducing the unique footbed inserts featuring a topographical map of Hell’s Revenge, a popular off-road trail in Moab, Utah. To commemorate the launch, Merrell is hosting a Jeep Wrangler giveaway. One entry per person is allowed and no purchase is necessary to participate. The sweepstakes is open from Monday, Oct. 23, 2023, until Monday, Nov. 6, 2023. Eligible participants include residents of the U.S., Canada, Peru, and Panama. The collaboration will be available while supplies last in the U.S., Canada, Taiwan, China, Japan, Peru, Panama, and Colombia. Additionally, select DICK’S Sporting Goods, Public Lands, and Atmosphere will carry the product.
