This time around, Van Hechter delivers a very sentimental, melancholic disco song with lyrics both in French (his native language) and English. The title of it is “Boy Problems” and its hook: nothing short of hypnotic.
Produced by Eryck Wyseman, written by Van himself, released through Isotop Records, it was decided that the track should premiere live in Manhattan on October 27th, in the midst of an all-star variety show (venue to be announced on social media 24 hours ahead).
When asked why NYC was chosen to launch the single, Van’s response was quick and simple: “Because New Yorkers gave me a career. First, DJ Chauncey Dandridge believed in me, agreed to play my songs, then we recorded duets, and all of a sudden, I had a life in the arts!”
