Lilly Dennis (Dr. Phlill, Toasts, Chocoholic) and Amy Letcher (PBC, NCIS, Black Sails) will star in the new series by Black Horse Productions, F.I.N.E. The series is a dark comedy following the lives of Abbie (played by Dennis) and Belle (played by Letcher), who meet at an addict’s anonymous group. Both women struggle greatly with their own odd addictions and find a surprising but needed friendship in each other as they move through the chaos their addictions have caused.
The series has been greenlit for at least one season so far. This casting is incredibly intelligent on the production’s end. Letcher and Dennis have developed a fan following from starring in the iconic comedic film Dr. Phlill together in 2018, which is also becoming a series. The success of their witty banter and charming chemistry together, on and off screen, has created a huge fan following. The comedic timing of the pair is compared to comedy duos such as Tina Fey and Amy Pohler and Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy. People love to watch two opposite personalities fight with each other, but also for the same end goal. This is what all these duos have in common with the characters they play.
Lilly Dennis is a famous Australian actress who has been in the entertainment industry for over a decade. She has starred in the series Toasts, Nannies and has been the lead for many years in the Broadway award-winning show Chocoholic. Funnily enough, both young women have accents of their own but will both play Americans in this series. Amy Letcher is an incredibly well-known actress from South Africa, taking on roles in series such as NCIS, Black Sails, and, more recently, PBC.
Both actresses are set to star in this powerhouse series. However, there is also incredible talent behind this production. Amber Ford is executive producing this project, whose past projects have won awards worldwide. With the leading ladies confirmed for this set-to-be hit series, we can’t wait to see the guest stars the show lines up. Be sure to tune back in for more updates.
