Artist Jie Han was born and raised in Shanghai, where she discovered her love for the arts at an early age. This passage states “Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man, clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest. The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire”. It describes the vision of John, in which he sees seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the lampstands, he sees one like a son of man.
Jie was captivated by the vivid and fantastic vision that John depicts in this passage, and it inspired her to create a piece that reflects the grandeur of this scene. Through her unique interpretation, Jie brings the vision to life in a way that expands the viewer’s imagination and offers a glimpse into the wonder and awe of the heavenly realm.
