Impact Security, LLC based in Marietta, Ga., announced that it has acquired MTI Shield, LLC. of Glendale, Arizona, in an all-stock deal. Additional financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Impact Security is a manufacturer of specialty security glass and glazing systems, sold under the DefenseLite® and BulletShield™ tradenames. MTI Shield is a manufacturing company specializing in custom engineered glass and glazing systems. MTI Shield had been a licensed fabricator for Impact Security since 2019, serving the western half of the United States.
Impact Security holds multiple patents and serves the retail, commercial building, municipal and governmental markets with custom-engineered retrofit glazing systems. Its DefenseLite and BulletShield products offer forced entry protection as well as windstorm, ballistic attack, and blast protection. In addition to enhancing the personal safety and well-being of employees and customers, these efforts are also a critical tool in ongoing struggles such as loss prevention efforts and campus security while also insulating for energy conservation and sound reduction.
Jeff Franson, who has functioned as President of Impact Security since 2016, will step aside and welcome Mark Mineer to the leadership role. “We couldn’t be happier with this next step in our company story.
