Throughout his career, Luis Alvarado, the CEO of Unlimited Leverage and a DeFi investment mentor, has learned that professional and financial success lacks any meaning if one does not share its fruits with others.
“I need connections in my life,” said Luis during a recent interview. “Learning to make passive income is cool and all, but if I don’t get to share it with other people and bring others along, I don’t feel fulfilled.”
Luis is a successful DeFi investor and renowned online DeFi investment mentor. With his company, Unlimited Leverage, this Peruvian entrepreneur has helped hundreds of students worldwide understand the crypto market and generate high-return passive income streams. Outside of his investor/entrepreneur persona, Luis is an individual who values family and connecting with others over financial accomplishments. As appealing as it may sound, financial independence has the potential to turn into a lonely reality. For Luis, his success as a DeFi investor lacks significance if he doesn’t use his knowledge to uplift others and forge meaningful bonds.
In a video interview back in January, Luis granted us a look into his life outside of his work as a DeFi investment mentor. Sitting in a condo in Las Vegas, he shared some of his personal core values and the importance of family and connections in his day-to-day.
Family and sharing with other people are two elements that cannot be absent in a typical day for Luis. He values his personal connections with family and friends as an indispensable part of his life.
“Being able to connect with people is critical for me,” said Luis. Before, “I spent quite a bit of time alone, but now, even if it is through Zoom calls, getting to see and hear others and chatting with them is something that I need in my life.”
Even after gaining financial independence through his investments and pursuing the life of a digital nomad traveling around the world, Luis has never disregarded his family. On the contrary, he maintains close communication with his parents and sister, not letting one day slip away without giving them a video call. Moreover, Luis and his family are more united now than ever after he introduced his parents and younger sister to DeFi investment.
“I already got my family into DeFi,” said Luis. “Even my mom, who keeps her old way of thinking about working and making money, is expending her mind to crypto after seeing the rest of the family get involved. Instead of working full-time, she is now working only two days a week, and this is gonna be the last year that she will be working her old job and finally retire.”
Outside of his family life, Luis is someone who enjoys discovering different people and different places. In his trips to other countries, Luis likes building new connections with locals and other DeFi investors from these regions, as he explores other cultures and tries new cuisines.
“When I travel,” said Luis,” I like going to dinners and tasting new food while I share with other people and talk about innovative ideas.”
Luis’ sociability and empathy for others translate into his daily work at Unlimited Leverage. He cares deeply about the health and happiness of each member of his team. He believes that it is impossible to enjoy the freedom that comes with financial independence without health. Thus, he emphasizes that his team’s well-being is above money.
“Inside my company, every single team member knows that if something is up, they can communicate it,” explained Luis. “We have such an amazing energy inside the company that I don’t want anyone to stress about money because that stress can manifest in their body and lead to disease.”
Today, Luis feels fortunate to have entered an industry that has allowed him to share with his family and forge strong bonds with others. At his company, Unlimited Leverage, he is grateful for having the possibility of putting his knowledge on DeFi investment in the service of others. His goal is to expand his company further to help more students worldwide enter the crypto market and gain financial independence.
