Atlanta independent rapper and artist Roy Gilbert, also known as RGflyy, establishes his place in the music industry with his new song, “More Money”, now streaming on major platforms worldwide.
RGflyy’s inspiration in pursuing musical excellence
Originally from New Jersey, rapper musician RGflyy moved to Atlanta two years ago to further his music career. RGflyy focuses on the type of music that captures the listeners’ attention through its rhythmic and synthesized beats that would get hyped up.
In a radio interview with Hot 107.9 Atlanta, RGflyy admits that it’s tougher for rising artists in Atlanta to stand out against the competition. Despite the challenge, he remains confident in what he can bring to the industry.
“I know there is a lot of competition here. There are a lot of talented artists, but I just feel like my vision is definitely something different,” RGflyy shares.
RGflyy’s primary motivation to succeed in the music industry is not for fame but to be a good provider for his family.
“I believe that pursuing music is a great opportunity for me to do a lot of things I never experienced as a kid. It is also what I see as a way to be a good provider for my kids and open up so many doors for them in so many angles,” RGflyy adds.
Inspired by his children, RGflyy’s newly released single titled “More Money” focuses on chasing success and pursuing financial opportunities. The rising rapper has also released an in-studio performance version on his Facebook profile and Youtube channel.
His family, at the center of it all
As a father of four sons, RGflyy admits that balancing the pursuit of his music career with his responsibilities can be tough, but he finds strength in how his sons are the very reason for his perseverance. He expounds, “It is hard to juggle the two, but at the end of the day, I always go back to why I am doing this – to give them a better life. It is all about creating that small balance because I believe my kids need me more than my dreams. They are my world, my everything. So I am trying to be a better person, a better artist for them.”
RGflyy puts a lot of hard work and effort into the music he produces, keeping in mind that it is all for his family. He continues to let his vision for his music unfold by networking with different artists, doing various music shows and photoshoots around Atlanta, and working on getting his music played on air for radio spins. He also recently had a guest appearance on the number one radio show in Atlanta, Hot 107.9, where he further discussed his musical inspiration, family views, and plans for the future.
“Right now, as a rising artist, I just keep on working hard on my music to adapt to what my listeners want. My fans should definitely watch out for more as I have a lot of things prepared for my future, my music, and my career,” RGflyy says.
