Agnes Artych was born in Poland in the small city of Siedlce. She grew up in a family that valued education, and she pursued an academic career until her early twenties. While her sisters chose practical careers, one being a math teacher and the other a chemist, Agnes decided to chase her dreams: dancing, modeling, and acting but did not neglect her studies, as she promised her mother that she’d graduate from university. After completing her BA studies and obtaining a degree in German language and Literature, she dedicated her time to her first love: dancing.
Her love for dancing started taking off right after graduating from high school when she was offered a position at the Kielce Dance Theater. During her university years, dancing was never out of the picture. She worked as a dance teacher, took classes from Bill Goodson, Ira Nadia Kodiche, Thierry Verger, Alain Bernard, Zofia Rudnicka, and other big names in the industry, and participated in numerous dance festivals.
After completing her academic studies, a bigger opportunity appeared: a position at the Baltic Opera. Agnes completed two seasons as a dancer for the Baltic Opera before a modeling agent on Facebook scouted her. That is when a modeling career started to take shape.
Istanbul was the first stop of what would become a long modeling career. In Istanbul, Agnes spent 3 months modeling for brands like Perge Jewels and Burce Bekrek. After three months, when the contract ended, she returned to Poland, where more modeling jobs were waiting for her. She became the face of Polish Fashion Week in 2013, secured the cover of Hebe Magazine in 2014, and won a Bell Cosmetic Beauty competition in the same year. Agnes is no stranger to television either, becoming a finalist in the well-known Supermodels competition in her home country.
A visit to New York changed the course of her career and motivated her to move to Big Apple and take a chance on an international modeling career. After numerous castings and auditions, she was signed by STATE Management and became the face of numerous campaigns, lookbooks, and commercials, including Conair, Crown Royal, and Halston. She also participated in fourteen New York Fashion Weeks, becoming a well-known figure in the biggest brands’ catwalks.
Dancing and modeling for so many years gave her the courage and determination to pursue another important dream: acting. Agnes enrolled in one of the most prestigious acting schools, Stella Adler Studio. She was featured in short films, lots of commercials, and also in the many works of Marc Erwin Babej, a well-established German American photographer.
Agnes Artych’s story gives encouragement and empowerment to pursue every single dream and follow the paths that our hearts lead us on. She started with baby steps towards what would become a fulfilling career and was not afraid to get out of the comfort zone whenever it was necessary to evolve. Hard work, passion, and determination made her dreams turn into reality, and Agnes is not planning to stop anytime soon.
